Department Profile

The Economics Department helps students think critically about the economic issues they confront in their daily lives, and develop a commitment to be actively engaged with policy issues in local, national, and global communities. The Department educate students to become successful professionals and socially responsible citizens who are ready to contribute positively to the economic and social well-being of the region, state and nation, to play constructive roles in their communities, and to lead productive and meaningful lives. The Department has strong interdisciplinary links with other departments and programs,  The Department’s broad range of perspectives provides benefits to those programs as well as to its own students.
