Facilities in the History Department
The Department of History is equipped with various resources and facilities. As and when funds are available, these resources and facilities are being improved upon, and made available to students. Some of the prominent facilities include:
History Study Circle
The History department have a active study circle. All the study related activities are done and implemented through it. The study circle strives to provide an open space for students to express themselves both, academically and culturally.
ICT based Teaching
Lecture method is normally followed. Apart from this procedure, tutorial classes and home assignment are also arranged by the faculty. With help of ICT based class room, faculty of the department use ICT based teaching methods using Overhead projector, MS-Office Power point, online resources, You Tube etc, Swayam Prabha, e-PG Pathshala etc.
Field work & Projects
The Department has planned to teach through project and fieldwork for the benefit of the students.
Seminars and Guest Lectures
The department organizes seminars and guest lectures to encourage the students in their studies and prepare them for higher studies. Moreover, it also helps the faculty in their research work and provides them with a platform for research paper presentations.
