Nagar Parishad Shivaji Mahavidyalaya Library, Mowad has a long tradition since 1997 having collection of Text Books, Reference Books, and special collection of Competitive examination books, 32 Print Journals and magazines. Right from its inception, it has become the “heart of the campus”. The library occupies a prominent and integral part in the teaching and learning process of the institution. The library aims to fulfill all kinds of educational, informational and recreational needs of the students, teachers, researchers and other users by providing them with a wide range of books, periodicals, reference books, famous literary works, rare books and audio-visual aids. The Library having Broadband Internet Connectivity and wi-fi facility. As an extension activity and social activity, the Library organizes programs on Birth and Death Anniversaries, Days of National Importance etc. following the Government Resolutions as published annually by Government of Maharashtra.

Every year library organizes various activities like Book Fair, Exhibition of Books etc. Such activities and events not only encourage reading habits in students but events like Book Fair make teachers and students aware of the Latest Publications in the Universe of Knowledge. Information literacy programme, reprographic services, reference service are some of the special services provided by the library. The College library plays the role of a counsellor to the students rather than a caretaker of the book collection and engaged in technical services of acquisition, classifying, cataloguing and lending books to the members. As per the RTM Nagpur University NEP 2020 syllabus, we started Skill Enhancement Course in Library Science. Name of the SEC Course is ‘Library and Information Skills (2 Credits) for First Semester and Second Semester. The link of the syllabus is given in menu section.
